Description
We've fabulous individually themed rooms with king size beds, including two romantic 4 posters.

A featured home in BBC Homes & Antiques magazine, our home is full to brimming with collectables, murals, beautiful furniture and objects.  There is lots to admire and enjoy. Treat yourself to a special break with us, impress someone with your thoughtfulness, take away happy memories. Let us arrange the flowers and make a dinner reservation for you.  There isn't another place as good as this at this price!  The 21st century has reached our place, too -- Sky TV available, and WiFi throughout the house for your convenience.

Our home is at the heart of the amazing and surprising Peak District National Park.  Here you'll find the best rolling countryside with views of near and distant hills, stone walls, leafy field margins and mile-high skies. We have maps and guide books for you to borrow, and informed advice where you might like to spend your day. Public footpaths are at our door - either hilltop or riverside walks beckon.  Of course, you'll be welcome to wander on our 400 acre farm.  The Haddon Hall estate has paths and lanes connecting with the Chatsworth House estate - up and over the hill and down the valley beyond - well away from all traffic - just you and the birds!

Our award-winning mixed farm is set in an enchanted valley in the heart of the national park.  Our animals graze peacefully next to a clear flowing river. We are working with the RSPB, the National Park and DEFRA to encourage birdlife within an environmental scheme. The farm has an important lapwing population; additionally you'll see buzzards, hawks, owls.   Swallows return from Africa every April to nest in our farm buildings. The riverside meadow habitat encourages otters and small mammals.  You can take a picnic over to the river, find a comfy perch on a tree stump and watch the dance of sunbeams on sparkling water.  Even in inclement weather (dressed in appropriate gear and booted suitably), a riverside walk calms and revives.
