Description
 Longnor is a traditional rural Peak District village steeped in history. It has been described as 'The place where time stood still' by a recent article in Derbyshire life magazine. It is located at a northern point of the Staffordshire moorlands close to the Derbyshire boundary on a high ridge dividing the rivers Dove and Manifold some six miles from Buxton. The village of Longnor is an ideal location for exploring the Peak District. We have many walks right from our front door. The village is still a traditional working village full of character with a Post Office, well stocked village shop, fish and chip shop, 2 pubs, cafe and a craft centre with coffee shop.

Spring Cottage is situated on the edge of the picturesque market town of Longnor and is a perfect base for walking the Peaks, Dales and Moorlands. We can provide maps and guides for both walking and cycling.

At Spring cottage we're proud to offer a range of breakfast options, typically using the best of local produce especially from our hens. For our traditional, cooked to order Staffordshire breakfast we use local, hand-made sausages, locally cured bacon, Staffordshire oatcake and our own free-range eggs. For those more adventurous and wishing to try something different, we offer dishes such as eggs Mimosa, Mumbles eggs, smoked salmon scrambled eggs or how about trying a lightly spiced kedgeree (smoked fish and prawns).
All our breakfast are served with as much freshly brewed tea or coffee and toast, home made preserves and juices as you can manage.
