Sturston Hall is a Grade II listed 17th Century Country House a mile from Ashbourne in the hamlet of Sturston, Derbyshire.

The house is approached down a pretty lane which leads to the river, The Henmore Brook. It is a single track lane, with high hedges leading to the large circular drive providing plenty of parking for guests. There are beautiful views from Sturson Hall down the valley to Ashbourne and also to the surrounding hills and farmland of the Derbyshire Dales.

Sturston Hall dates back to around 1650 and retains all of its original features,such as stone mullioned windows, old oak doors and staircase, plaster ceilings and stone fireplaces, even in the bedrooms. Stay in The Jacobean Room and have the luxury of a log burner in your bedroom, and take breakfast in the 17th Century dining room or the cosy farmhouse kitchen.

Choose a bedroom in the historic surroundings of this beautiful 17th Century Derbyshire country house, Sturston Hall dates back to 1650's. It is a house full of atmosphere, stone mullioned windows and fireplaces, even in some of the bedrooms, stunning dog-leg staircase leading from cellars to the attic, furnished with comfortable period furniture. Enjoy breakfast in the panelled 17th Century dining room or choose the cosy farmhouse kitchen and relax by the Aga.

The Jacobean Room has a kingsize bed, a log burner, in the original stone fireplace, and beautiful views over the rolling farmland of the Peak District. Private bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom.

The Attic Room has a double bed, is heavily beamed, and has gorgeous views across the hills. There is an adjacent private bathroom with a bath and shower.

The Barn Bedroom has a 5ft wide bed, murals of birds on the walls, beamed ceiling, wooden floor, and an ensuite bathroom.

The French Room is a ground floor twin bedded room with lime-washed beams and pretty toile curtains. There is an adjecent private bathroom with a shower and a bath.

Breakfast is served either in the 17th Century panelled dining room or the cosy farmhouse kitchen Choose a continental or a traditional English breakfast with eggs from the local farm and home made Sturston Hall marmalade.

Coeliac diets are catered for, gluten free breakfasts and evening meals can be prepared.
