Description Swiss House, Castleton, Derbyshire, offers bed & breakfast accommodation in the heart of the Peak District National Park. We, Mary and Martha Holmes, run Swiss House personally and It is our aim to provide you with the very best service and comfort throughout your stay in our well established guest house. We are proud to say that Swiss House has been awarded the English Tourism Council 4 stars award. Swiss House B&B is perfect for Walkers or Cyclists. Leave your boots by the door, or your bike in the bike shed, have a good night’s sleep then our fantastic and highly rated breakfast in the morning. Our tasty full English or vegetarian breakfast includes a selection from the buffet table of various juices, fresh and canned fruits, yogurts and cereals including our home-made granola. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, cooked to order, of local Cumberland or vegetarian sausage, British bacon and free range eggs, oven baked fresh plum tomatoes, mushrooms sautéed in butter, Heinz baked beans and locally produced black pudding. Alternatively, we offer lighter cooked meals including Scottish kippers, scrambled, poached or boiled eggs, beans on toast. Our breakfast also includes white or wholemeal toast, honey, marmite, a range of home-made preserves and fresh filtered coffee or a pot of tea. Breakfast is served from 8.30am but a lighter breakfast (if required) is available earlier by arrangement. Located near the centre of Castleton the Swiss House bed & breakfast offers easy access to local shops and markets, pubs and cafes, events and attractions and is only a stone's throw from the wild landscape of the Peak District National Park. Castleton is one of the Peak District's most popular tourist destination. It has a Norman castle, numerous show caverns, many interesting shops and numerous pubs and places to eat. Above all, Castleton is surrounded by some of the finest scenery in the North of England.
